About Lisa Dale Miller, LMFT, LPCC, SEP
Everyone can develop or reclaim a tranquil, clear, joyful mind and heart; even those who feel overwhelmed with unrelenting anxious, depressive and/or psychophysical and emotional effects of trauma. Integrative Psychotherapy (IP) combines dynamic, evidence-based treatments for mood disorders, trauma, chronic stress, emotion dysregulation, chronic pain and addiction. IP is an interactive, depth-oriented approach which integrates mindfulness and compassion interventions with Somatic Experiencing.
This method is ideal for individuals struggling with unrelenting depressive/anxious symptoms, trauma and chronic pain, autoimmune dysregulation, substance use problems. I also work with couples in distress; professionals in high-stress careers or life transition; military veterans; depressed, anxious or stressed young adults. I continue to further my SE skills in post-graduate trainings with Dr. Levine, including; SE for depression, SE with veterans of war, and Eye of the Needle. I have been an outpatient clinician for the VA San Jose and worked with active military professionals suffering with complex PTSD.
I am also the author of a highly regarded textbook on Buddhist psychology for mental health professionals, Effortless Mindfulness: Genuine mental health through awakened presence. I am a dharma teacher and have been a yogic and Buddhist meditation practitioner for four decades. Reclaim your innate aliveness; the genuine mental health of wakeful presence.
