About Linda Mary Cherek

Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My first career is a registered nurse and have over 40 years experience in that field. I have 16 years experience as a licensed mental health therapist. I use a cognitive-behavioral/integrative approach to help clients make the necessary shifts in life. My current specialty areas are with adults and older adolescents experiencing trauma, abuse, and grief/loss associated with death and chronic illness and pain. In addition, clients who are experiencing life transitions and life losses, divorce, recovery and women’s issues, depression and anxiety. I have a strength based approach to therapy and I support clients in rediscovering their inner resilience, power and wisdom.  I believe that we live life seeking and finding satisfaction, contentment, inner peace, life direction and purpose. I also provide group facilitation training programs and am a presenter locally and nationally on issues related to trauma, stress, loss. My experience, education, wisdom and spirituality are the foundation of my unique perspective and of the skills that I bring to my psychotherapy practice.
