About Stephanie Peter

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor practicing in Parksville, British Columbia. I help people whose exposure to stressful and traumatic situations has resulted in anxiety, depression, chronic illness/ pain, and burnout. Working with the body as well as the mind allows deep, long-lasting changes to take place, and increases well-being both now and in the future.

I offer individual sessions, as well as online groups for people living with anxiety and depression. Turning the Tide is a 10-week educational support group that uses somatic techniques to ease the symptoms of depression. It's offered twice per year, in October and February, and can be accessed confidentially through your desktop, tablet or smartphone. Calming the Storm offers strategies and exercises to move through anxiety and back into rest and calm. It is available online throughout the year, and can be completed independently or as part of a small group.

If you are considering counselling, give me a call to find out whether what I have to offer would be a good fit for you.
