About Maureen Harrington

Maureen has enjoyed a private practice for over 14 years combining holistic bodywork with Somatic Experiencing™ This includes the use of light touch, manual therapy and movement for chronic pain, injury and recovery from trauma. She has trained extensively in trauma resolution using cranial and visceral touch, orthobionomy and SE™ Touch. Since 2005 she has been actively involved as a teaching assistant for the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute’s Professional SE™ Trainings and has served as coordinator and lead assistant to Dr. Peter Levine at his annual Esalen Institute workshops. She has also served with the Trauma Outreach Program bringing SE™ to survivors of Hurricane Katrina in Baton Rouge, LA. She is approved by SETI to provide individual sessions for all levels of SE™ students and individual consultations for Beginning and Intermediate level SE™ students. She has offices located in both Oakland and Sebastopol where she sees adults and adolescents.
