About Matthew Litschi

I approach therapy using relational, trauma-informed, creative, and psycho-spiritual approaches.
I have specialized training in other somatic (body-oriented) approaches, including EMDR and Hakomi. Our stories are important, but it is also helpful to bring attention to the body, our felt sense. Awareness of our breath, how we hold tension, and the rhythms of our nervous system can facilitate healing at a deep level. I have extensive experience working with survivors of interpersonal abuse.
My aim is to offer a psychotherapy process which integrates the best of Western Psychology, emerging stress physiology research, and other healing arts.
