About Sarah Carpenter
A therapist is so much more than her resume and the letters behind her name. And so much different in person than on paper. I love my job. To facilitate healing transformation as clients restore hope and resiliency in their lives makes my life purposeful, fun and full.
My clients know they are getting better as they become, as SEP Bria n Mahan says, more "grounded, centered, boundaried, embodied, safe, in the moment, and joyful!" Creativity, intellect, faith ,hope and humor generate rewarding interactions in the gentle process of healing trauma and difficulties facing children, teens and adults. I also offer a specialty in treating ADHD where SE education and Social Emotional Learning is emphasized for the family and teachers, providing more effective strategies than traditional cognitive and behavioral therapies.
My work as an assistant for several SE Faculty over the last 8 years has enriched my life immensely. Approved to give sessions at the Intermediate Level, I look forward to offering Advanced sessions and consultations at all levels in the future. Those faculty who have changed my life, Maggie Kline, Diane Poole Heller, Abi Blakeslee, Dave Berger and Raja Selvam , have given me a gift to share through teaching, touch, coaching, listening, and relational attachment work. I would be honored to share this amazing work with you.
