About Amie Summers

Among my firmly held beliefs is that we all possess an innate impulse for healing—within each of us we have exactly what we need to get there. Our work together will be designed to tap into this inner strength. My goal is simple: to help clients live fully and happily in the here and now.

My private psychotherapy practice specializes in children, teens, and young adults struggling with significant life events and transitions. I’m able to help with a wide range of emotional and physical struggles, including:

• All types of trauma
• Anxiety/excessive fear
• Excessive anger/aggression
• Depression/withdrawal
• Attachment difficulties
• Divorce
• Challenges at school
• Social difficulties
• Grief and loss
• Obsessive and compulsive thoughts/behaviors
• Chronic pain

Currently, I’m unable to accept insurance. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and are $65. Monthly invoices are available for clients who would like to submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement, as well as for tax purposes.

I have the honor of assisting at trainings for students who are studying Somatic Experiencing, and am approved to provide personal sessions for students at the Beginning level.
