About Michelle A Kenefick

I began Sound Counseling Center, LLC as the result of the increasing demands of clientele seeking shorter term, solution focused and professional counseling services.

I have worked in the field of human services for over 20 years. My approach is eclectic and incorporates methods of cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic experiencing and mindfulness practice with a holistic foundation, which I believe is crucial in restoring balance to our busy lives. My practice style can best be described as solution focused. I have a straight-forward approach that lends itself to getting to the issues at hand in a caring, yet goal driven way.

Recently, we have added a number of retreat and workshop offerings that are based on a blend of Buddhist and Western psychology. Most retreats are oriented toward self-care and have mindfulness as the foundation.

Because I recognize the many demands that we all face and juggle on a daily basis, I am committed to providing counseling services with flexibility in scheduling. What I offer is prompt and professional service, a practical and solution focused approach to solving the challenges you face, along with the utmost compassion, care and sensitivity. I believe that treatment should be driven by the person seeking help as you are the expert on you and your family. By joining together in partnership, we can accomplish the unique goals that you set.
