About Sharon Moore, MEd, SEP
Sharon has spent more than 20 years working in Canada’s North providing counselling and support services for a diverse range of clients. She has worked extensively in the areas of trauma and grief, stress, and addictions. Over the past 15 years Sharon has worked closely with First Nation communities across the Yukon offering clinical support with individual and community problems related to residential school and other historical trauma experiences. She was the Counsellor/Facilitator for a community based residential school healing project that published “Finding Our Way Home”, a resource book on the history and impacts of residential schools in Canada.
Sharon currently provides clinical counselling in Whitehorse, Yukon and travels throughout the North as a therapist with Health Canada’s Indian Residential School Resolution Health Support Program. She places emphasis on helping individuals rekindle their connection to themselves and others so they can more easily find their way in the world.
Sharon is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology.
