About Jo Kennedy

My work as an SE trauma therapist has grown from my own personal journey with cancer and injury. I have come to  appreciate that human beings are born with an innate  bodily knowing of how to move forward through the most difficult and painful of circumstances.

I would argue our bodies are heroic and it is in our best interest to take steps toward understanding and  honoring them. Our bodies are there for us every moment  communicating,  sending us messages, and if we learn to listen they reward us by giving us relief and peace.

Learning to create the right conditions for change to happen in our bodies and for  pain and trauma to resolve is a journey that can lead to  profound healing and happiness.

As Peter  Levine says,

“I have little doubt that as individuals, families, communities, and even nations, we have the capacity to learn how to heal and prevent much of the damage done by trauma. In so doing, we will significantly increase our ability to achieve both our individual and collective dreams.
