About Tracy Artson, Ph.D.

I provide an integrative, multi-faceted and collaborative approach to brief and long-term psychotherapy and crisis intervention to late adolescents and adults (individuals and couples).  I specialize in the treatment of stress and trauma-related injuries: Relational and attachment wounds such as childhood physical, sexual, emotional and verbal abuse and neglect, combat/war related trauma, accidents, natural disasters, sexual assault and complex grief. Other areas of treatment: Life transitions, loss and bereavement, phobias, separations and divorce, transition to parenting and other parent-child issues. Treatment for Diagnostic Categories include: Trauma, Posttraumatic Stress Injury/Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders including PPD, Addictions, Complex Bereavement. 


 My background is in psychodynamic psychotherpy (Object Relations and Attachment). I am Certified and an Appoved-Consultant in Attachment Focused-EMDR as well as a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).

Approved Consultant: EMDRIA and Parnell Institute-Approved Consultant to licensed professionals collecting hours toward Basic Training (Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3), EMDR Certification and Consultation-on Consultation.

Parnell Institute Approved Facilitator: Training Facilitator for Parts I, II and III.

Co-Creator: TAP-IN, Trauma Assistance Program-InterNational. Developing a non-profit organization intended to prepare trauma specialists with the funding, education and resources necessary to provide culturally sensitive training and treatment to disadvantaged areas of the world; facilitating healing and transformation of people and communities in mind, body and spirit.
