Training: MEd in counseling; plus psychotherapy training in 4-year psychosynthesis, Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, Intensive Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy, and SE. Psychotherapist with 22+ years experience in the Nova Scotia Health Authority working with patients who present with syndromal patterns exclusively. Clientele is predominantly adult women/men presenting with complex chronic health conditions and mental health comorbidities (anxiety, depression, trauma and history of childhood abuse).
In addition to working within the NS provincial healthcare system, I have a private practice where the focus for wellbeing relates to: anxiety and depression among children/teens/young adults and adults; marital concerns, separation/divorce, communication in families; loss and grief; gender identity and sexual orientation; end of life care and support; managing chronic health conditions and disability; early and acute trauma resolution.
