About Amy J Lazer
Amy Lazer , is a Certified Structural Integration Practitioner, Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapist®, and a graduate student at the Canadian College of Osteopathy . As a trauma therapist, yoga teacher, consultant and mentor, Amy’s intuition and commitment to healing guide her work.
Amy brings her knowledge of anatomy, physiology and function of the body to help clients improve their physical well being and health. With over 10 years of clinical practice, Amy provides a unique blend of clinical care for people healing from traumatic brain injury/ concussion, chronic pain, with an emphasis on back and neck pain, high impact accidents, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, headaches, and panic attacks. She uses a diverse array of traditional and complementary healing practices, integrating her understanding of the relationship between an individual’s current state of mind and traumatic history. In a private session one may expect to use body awareness, sensation recognition, and relaxation, trauma renegotiation, and movement to help attain their personal healing goals.
As an Osteopathic Student, Amy is trained in a number of manual techniques including craniosacral manipulation, visceral manipulation, myofascial release, joint mobilization and muscle energy technique and blends them with aspects of many somatic approaches.
